# EURO-PAR 2018: CALL FOR PAPERS

## 24th International European Conference on Parallel and Distributed Computing

Turin, Italy, August 27-31, 2018

Twitter: @europar2018

__Euro-Par__ is the prime European conference covering all aspects of

__parallel__ and __distributed__ processing, ranging from theory to

practice, from small to the largest parallel and distributed systems

and infrastructures, from fundamental computational problems to

full-fledged applications, from architecture, compiler, language and

interface design and implementation, to tools, support

infrastructures, and application performance aspects. Euro-Par’s

unique organization into topics provides an excellent forum for

focused technical discussion, as well as interaction with a large,

broad and diverse audience.

## Scope

We invite submissions of high-quality, novel and original research

results in areas of parallel and distributed computing covered by the

following topics:

1. Support Tools and Environments

2. Performance and Power Modeling, Prediction and Evaluation

3. Scheduling and Load Balancing

4. High Performance Architectures and Compilers

5. Parallel and Distributed Data Management and Analytics

6. Cluster and Cloud Computing

7. Distributed Systems and Algorithms

8. Parallel and Distributed Programming, Interfaces, and Languages

9. Multicore and Manycore Methods and Tools

10. Theory and Algorithms for Parallel Computation and Networking

11. Parallel Numerical Methods and Applications

12. Accelerator Computing for Advanced Applications

Topic descriptions and chairs are available on the Euro-Par 2018 Web

site <http://www.europar2018.org/topics>. The conference will feature

contributed and invited talks. Co-located _tutorials_ and _workshops_

are also planned as usual for Euro-Par.

## Important Dates

* Paper abstracts: __February 9, 2018, 23:59 AOE__

* Full paper submission: __February 16, 2018, 23:59 AOE__

* Author notification: __April 27, 2018__

* Camera ready full papers: __June 1, 2018__

* Workshop proposals: __February 16, 2018__

## Submission Guidelines

Submissions must be in PDF format and should not exceed __12__ pages

in the Springer LNCS style. Paper submission will be handled

electronically with EasyChair. Complete LaTeX sources must be provided

for accepted papers.

All submitted research papers will be peer-reviewed. Only

contributions that are not submitted elsewhere or currently under

review will be considered. Accepted papers will be included in the

conference proceedings, published by Springer in the ARCoSS/LNCS

series. Authors of accepted papers will have to sign a Springer

copyright form.

The 24th edition of Euro-Par will introduce two novelties for authors:

1. __Artifact Evaluation__: authors of accepted papers will have the

   option to submit materials for Artifact Evaluation. Artifacts will

   be reviewed by a separate committee.  Papers that go through the

   Artifact Evaluation process successfully will receive a seal of

   approval.

2. __Chess-Timer Talks__: authors of accepted papers will have the

   option to propose an interactive, chess-timer talk at the

   conference, allowing 20 minutes of solo speaking time and 15

   minutes of discussion time. During the presentation, the audience

   will be encouraged to interact with the speaker asking questions

   and making comments. A committee will select a limited number of

   presentations among those proposed with this modality.

## Location

Euro-Par 2018 will be held in Turin, Italy, August 27th-31st, 2018, at

the Campus Luigi Einaudi of the University of Turin.  It is organized

by the Computer Science Department of the University of Turin.
