EAPLS Support for Workshops

by Dimitris Kolovos, Feb. 10, 2020

EAPLS programme offering financial support to workshops in areas related to programming languages and systems.

Recognising the importance and contribution of workshops to the development and early dissemination of novel research ideas, the European Association for Programming Languages and Systems (EAPLS) has launched a programme that aims at offering financial support to workshops in areas related to programming languages and systems. Under this programme, workshop organisers can request up to €400 to cover travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses of distinguished keynote speakers. There are 4 calls every year, with the following submission deadlines:

- March 1

- June 1

- September 1

- December 1

Submissions

---

Applications must be submitted electronically in PDF format to [email protected] and must include:

- The name of the workshop and the conference it is collocated with;

- Short bios of the organisers and the keynote speaker;

- A brief overview of the research area of the workshop, and its relevance to EAPLS;

- A short history of the workshop (number of papers submitted/accepted, number of attendees in previous editions);

- URLs of the workshop web page and call for papers;

- A break-down of the requested funding.

Selection and Reimbursement

---

Applications will be reviewed and notifications will be sent to successful and unsuccessful applicants within 3 weeks after each deadline. Reimbursement of expenses from EAPLS will normally take place after the submission of relevant receipts and invoices from the workshop organisers but if this is problematic, other funding arrangements can be considered (please state this in the proposal). In any event, the limit of €400 per workshop cannot be exceeded under any circumstances.

Obligations

---

Sponsored workshops will be required to acknowledge the support of EAPLS in their published proceedings (if applicable), in their opening and closing presentations, and on their website.
