This special issue welcomes submissions on the theme of "Automatic Software Testing from the Trenches". Authors are invited to submit their work on any topic related to problem identification, methodology, technology, tools and environments, empirical studies and visions of the future for software test automation, emphasizing experiences obtained from the trenches, in an effort to bridge theory and practice. Industrial experience reports and industrially relevant methods and tools are particularly welcome.

  • First notification: December 6th, 2021
  • Revised submission: March 7th, 2022
  • Final notification: May 2nd, 2022
  • Camera-ready deadline: June 3rd, 2022

Submission requirements

The special issue targets both researchers (including PhD students) and practitioners in the areas of software testing in general and automation of software test in particular. 

Original, high quality papers focusing on the theme of "Automatic Software Testing from the Trenches" are invited: the papers must be original work and should not be currently under review by other journals or peer-reviewed conferences.
