FISEE2023 _ 2nd International Workshop on Frontiers in Software Engineering Education Jan. 23-25

by Sophie Ebersold, Oct. 28, 2022

Following the success of FISEE 2019 in Villebrumier, FISEE 2023 will again be devoted to advanced topics in software engineering education. and in particular to “Education in Technology and Technology for Education”.

Like other events at the LASER center, FISEE is not a traditional conference but a forum for discussion, followed by post-event publication in the LASER subseries of Springer LNCS (Lecture Notes in Computer Science).

With FISEE 2023 (Frontiers In Software Engineering Education), the FISEE workshop series, started in 2019. The aim is to bring together educators and researchers interested in advancing the quality of education using both classical ideas and novel technology.

The special theme of the 2023 FISEE, bringing together these two goals,  is “Education in Technology and Technology for Education”, with keynotes by Carlo Ghezzi from Milan and Armando Fox from Berkeley. Over two and a half days, the Château de Villebrumier in Southwestern France provides a friendly environment to discuss issues of education in software engineering.

The workshop is by invitation only, normally on the basis of a position paper (extended abstract, 2 to 5 pages). If you wish to be considered for invitation please write to [email protected] or submit an abstract to the workshop submission site at

Proceedings will be published in a new volume of the LASER subseries of Springer’s Lecture Notes in Computer Science, after a peer-review process conducted by the Program Committee.
