The Center for Advanced Security Research Darmstadt (CASED) affiliated
to the Department of Computer Science at Technische Universität
Darmstadt offers

1 PhD position (Scholarship)

starting any time. The scholarship amounts to 1,468 EUR per month
(net) and will be granted for 2 years with the possibility of
extension to a 3rd after positive evaluation. An additional allowance
is available for applicants who have children. The position is made
possible through generous funding by the Horst-Görtz Foundation.

The Ph.D. student will be working under supervision of Dr. Eric Bodden
(www.bodden.de) and Prof. Dr. Mira Mezini. The student will be
expected to deliver excellent research in CASED’s research area
“Secure Services”, specifically on static and dynamic program analysis
to prove security properties of individual components, libraries and
services in Java.

CASED is an IT Security research center at TU Darmstadt in cooperation
with the Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology (SIT)
and the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt (h_da). CASED brings
together lead scientists in the areas of Secure Data, Secure Things

CASED aims at having a significantly higher proportion of female
scientists compared to the average German research institutions and
