A single publication covering all areas of computer languages

The Journal of Computer Languages (COLA) welcomes papers on all aspects of the design, implementation, and use of computer languages (specification, modelling, programming; textual or visual) and human-centric computing, from theory to practice.

The journal publishes papers which describe original technical research, but also welcomes empirical studies and survey articles.

After the merger of Computer Languages, Systems and Structures with the Journal of Visual Languages and Computing, the Journal of Computer Languages provides a single publication which covers all areas of computer languages.

The Editorial Team is comprised of editors with expertise in specific aspects of computer languages and is led by Editor-in-Chief Professor Marjan Mernik.

The Journal of Computer Languages is committed to rigorous peer-review, rapid publication and wide dissemination of high quality research.

In 2019, the Journal of Computer Languages will be presenting a Best Paper Award to celebrate outstanding research. The winner of the award will receive a prize of $1000 USD and a certificate as a reward for their contribution. To find details about the criteria for the award, please visit our website.
