**Post-doc Position in AI for Continuous Software Engineering
available at the University of L'Aquila (Italy)**
University of L'Aquila
Department of Information Engineering Computer Science and Mathematics
Software Engineering and Architecture (SEA) Group
Estimated start date: September 1st, 2021
Type of contract: Fixed term contract for 12 months. The contract can
be renewed.
Gross salary: 32,000 EUR per Year.
The SEA Group of the University of L'Aquila [1] investigates research
topics related to Software Engineering and Architecture, both from a
functional and non-functional viewpoint, mainly focusing on software
architectures, model-driven development, and software quality aspects.
The SEA Group is involved in several national and international
projects and has developed solid research and development experience
in software engineering.
Subject: The research will be done in the context of the ECSEL JU
European Project AIDOaRT (AI-augmented automation for efficient
DevOps, a model-based framework for continuous development At RunTime
in cyber-physical systems) project [2]. The main objectives of the
research will be the development of techniques and tools for
supporting the software and systems continuous engineering process of
Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs). In particular, the AIDOaRt framework
aims at: (i) supporting the collection, representation and
traceability of runtime data (such as logs, events and metrics) and
software models, (ii) assisting in the analysis of both historical and
real-time data in combination with design information, and (iii)
enhancing the automation of the DevOps toolchain by integrating the
use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques (notably, Machine
Learning) in multiple aspects of the development process (e.g.,
requirements support, monitoring, modelling, coding and testing
activities).
The candidates are expected to have a PhD degree in related fields and
good publication records. Experience in collaborative research
projects and in supervising masters and undergraduate students will
constitute a preferential element.
The general requirements for candidates are:
- A PhD in Computer Science or related areas
- Background in software engineering
- Programming skills and prior experience in working with AI systems
will be highly regarded
- Experience in model-based or model-driven engineering will be also regarded
- An established research record.
The working language will be English; knowledge of Italian is not required.
The position will be fixed-term for one year, renewable. The starting
date will be around September 1st, 2021.
Inquiries and expressions of interest, including a curriculum vitae,
a list of publications (with a shortlist of the three most important
papers), and an outline of prospective research (no more than 2 pages)
should be sent by e-mail to Romina Eramo ([email protected]).
Deadline for submissions: June 25, 2021 (submissions received after
that date are welcome and will be considered for future available
positions in the same context).
