The urgent need for investment in Informatics Education has been highlighted by the recent Recommendation of the Council of the EU. Being the first and only summer school in Informatics Education Research in Europe, SCHIER offers PhD students, postdocs, or researchers in informatics and related fields an immersion in cutting-edge research methods and theories necessary to be mastered to do research in Informatics Education. The School also aims at enlarging and consolidating a truly European community of researchers in this field. At SCHIER, participants can:

• Explore topics relevant to becoming a successful researcher in Informatics Education, from the more foundational subjects to the more application-focused ones.
